Daily
tracking is a very important task that someone who has bipolar disorder should
get in the habit of doing. It‘s helping
me to gain a real good perspective on where my life’s been and where it’s
going. My daily mood tracker helps me to
define patterns of both depressive and hypomanic/manic behavior. I also list my medications on mine so that I
can sign off that I took my medications.
I also keep track of my nutrition as well so that I can see the overall
picture of where I’m at every day. I
also keep a daily journal which has been converted to this blog and I basically
just write about my day and make notes of what’s happening in my life.
Since beginning my treatment for bipolar I’ve had a lot of bad days but I’ve also had some positive days as well. Mood tracking makes the dark times in my life seem less dark. It helps me to see patterns in my life that I like and want to reinforce for me to thrive. It has made me much more aware of myself and how I’m influenced by people and things around me. I’ve included some mood trackers on this page that I found and few I made myself. Any of them would make a great addition to your treatment plan.
